Since the date of its foundation the Commission has been actively cooperating with international organizations. One of the important partners of the Commission is USAID, who has actively promoted establishment of the Regulatory Commission and basic legislation related to it. Enhancement of international relations with European and the U.S. regulatory authorities bears strategic importance for the Commission. Currently the Commission is founding member of Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA), which encompasses Eastern European and former Soviet Union countries. Georgia is the candidate of becoming member of the Energy Community and the Commission actively cooperates with it. In the frames of NARUC Partnership Program, the Commission and the U.S. regulatory authorities carry out joint projects. The Commission has also established relations with Regulatory Commissions within the region.
