Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission has handed over a story-book and  other thematic materials to the students of the N1 Public School of Mtskheta  in order to raise awareness on energy and renewable energies. A story on the renewable energies will assist students to get acquainted with the energy-related issues. Dissemination of the books is planned to the other pilot schools involved in the project.

Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission has initiated a campaign on introducing  main concepts related to energy, energy efficiency, energy saving and renewable energy issues to the children of different age categories, raising their awareness in that direction and developing respective skills. The first stage of the campaign was carried out within the Twinning project on Quality of Service and Smart Metering in Georgia funded by EU in an amount of 1.200 000 Euros. A cartoon with a famous Georgian character – Jirrafe Joze and a story on the renewable energies have been prepared. Hereby, GNERC has organised online seminar for the teachers where ways and methodology of providing such information to school children has been discussed; Together with the abovementioned, various thematic materials have been disseminated to the school including informational triplet on the historical facts related to energy, puzzles, colouring books, face-masks and bookmarks.
