The Memorandum of Cooperation was concluded among the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), Elizbar Eristavi Energy Training Center and the the United Nations Children’s Fund in Georgia. The GNERC Chairman, Mr. Davit Narmania, the Energy Training Center Director, Mr. Nugzar Beridze and the representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund in Georgia, Mr. Ghassan Khalil have signed the Memorandum of Cooperation.
The tripartite Memorandum of Cooperation envisages to inform children on energy and water supply, environmental and climate challenges. The aim of the cooperation between the parties is to encourage the introduction of environmental principles in schools and youth organizations, to implement measures to promote the economic use of natural resources, and to promote knowledge on the environment and climate.
Under the Memorandum of Cooperation, the parties express their readiness to take action on energy and water supply, environmental and climate challenges. Joint meetings, seminars and symposia will be held within the framework of the cooperation.
