Maia Melikidze, the Chair of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) and the chief adviser to the Chairman of GNERC on strategic issues, was elected as the vice-chair of the International Confederation of Energy Regulators (ICER). Maia Melikidze was elected, alongside representatives from America and Germany, as vice chairpersons. 

The International Confederation of Energy Regulators (ICER) is dedicated to promoting global collaboration among energy regulators and fostering public awareness regarding the crucial role of energy regulation in tackling various socio-economic, environmental, and market-related challenges. 

Along with various organizations, ICER's members include: Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER), National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA). Under the aegis of the International Confederation of Energy Regulators (ICER), the World Forum om Energy Regulation has been held every 3 years since 2000.​  In previous years, the host countries of the forum were: USA, Italy, Greece, Canada, Turkey, Mexico.
