Giorgi Pangani and David Tvalabeishvili, members of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), met with Artur Lorkowski, Director of the Energy Community Secretariat. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the progress of the ongoing energy sector reform and to define further areas of cooperation.

During the meeting, GNERC Commissioners emphasized the importance of the gradual opening of energy markets and highlighted the need to enhance market mechanisms and implement the necessary measures during the transitional period, which are being carried out by Georgia.

The parties discussed the market liberalization process, the strengthening of the regulatory framework, and ongoing legislative amendments in the energy sector. They also agreed on the priority areas of cooperation for 2026.

The meeting was attended by directors of the relevant departments of GNERC and the official representative of the Energy Community in Georgia, Salome Janelidze.
