29.11.2022 Release
On 28 November 2022 upon the initiative of Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) and with support of the EU-funded project on Green Energy Regulation in Georgia implemented at GNERC, Georgian Energy Club was launched. At the first meeting organized under the auspices of the Georgian Energy Club, BC project leader and Commissioner Mr. Giorgi PANGANI addressed the audience and emphasized the importance of creating Georgian Energy Club.
Georgian Energy Club aims, on one hand, to support implementation of the energy investment-related projects in Georgia and, on the other, to further strengthen partnership between European and Georgian energy sectors. Georgian Energy Club will meet regularly and provide opportunity for the representatives of the energy sector as well as for the invited local and international guests to discuss existing challenges and the ways to overcome them.
Mr. PANGANI stated in his speech that ‘’With support of the European Union, GNERC managed to implement one more important project, which is especially efficient when supporting the implementation of the ongoing energy sector reform in Georgia. As you are well aware, we are actively represented in the international energy organizations, and we cooperate with a number of entities within the energy sector. Expansion of the network and regular visits of the foreign colleagues and investors promotes utilization of our country’s energy potential and increases Georgia’s role on the European energy market.’’
