Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission would like to express its deepest condolences due to the death of Mr. Elizbar Eristavi.

Mr. Eristavi has been the Chairman of GNERC in 1996-2003 and has an outstanding contribution in the process of establishing regulatory authority. Recently, he has been working as an Advisor to Commission.

He has carried out pedagogical activities at the Energy Faculty of Georgian Technical Institute, used to be the member of collegial body of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy, Member of the Presidium of Georgian Energy Academy and Engineering Academy. Honorary Engineer of Georgia, Honorary Member of Energy Regulators Regional Association.  He has been awarded with the Order of Honor.

The Commission expresses its empathy towards the Family member of Mr. Elizbar Eristavi.
